The Harp and Worship Music
Many adult students come to learn hymns and worship songs alongside classical studies. Sacred repertoire is woven naturally into the programme — real technique, music that holds spiritual meaning.
"Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre." — Psalm 33:2
NEVER TOO LATE + BRAIN SCIENCE
The hobby you always said you would learn
Many adults arrive at the studio carrying the same thought — 'I've always wanted to learn, but life got in the way.' School timetables, career demands, and family commitments made it easy to put off. Whatever brought you here now, you are in exactly the right place
Whatever brought you here, you will find no pressure, no judgement, and no comparison to others. Some adult students began in their 60s and are still playing today.
"I began at 60... three years later I am still continuing and enjoying the harp."— Mary T
THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE MUSIC
Learning music is one of the best things you can do for your brain
Cognitive stimulation
Engages motor, auditory, and visual brain regions simultaneously — strengthening neural connections.
Dementia prevention
Research in the New England Journal of Medicine found musical instrument playing among the most effective activities for reducing dementia risk.
Stress relief
Playing music triggers dopamine and endorphins — focused, meditative time that belongs entirely to you.
Confidence and achievement
Whether your goal is playing a song you have always loved, performing for family, or simply getting through a piece without stopping — achieving it feels genuinely good. That sense of accomplishment is yours alone, and it builds with every lesson.

What Students Say
"I began learning the harp at the age of 60... It has been 3 years and I am still continuing playing and enjoying the harp, all thanks to Dora... learning the harp has helped me relax my mind and improve my hand coordination."
- Mary T
"As an absolute beginner, with no prior music background, learning the harp seemed daunting, but Dora has made it an incredibly rewarding experience. She is patient, approachable and tailors each lesson..."
- Edwin B
"Learning the harp is a childhood dream come true. Dora is a patient, observant and accommodating teacher and has guided me over the past year on the proper techniques of harp playing. Every lesson she spots the mistakes I didn’t even notice I was making and makes good suggestions on how I can improve on them. I would not be at the level I am now if I tried to self-teach myself using videos."

👩🏫 9 years teaching children and adults

Dora believes the harp belongs to everyone — and she has spent 9 years proving it. Trained at the Royal College of Music in London and performed internationally, she brings the same care and attention to a complete beginner in their 60s as she does to an advanced student preparing for exams. You will always be in good hands.
"She plays with great musicality and produces an excellent sound."
— Daphne Boden, Harp Professor, Royal College of Music (London)
